CROWDSOURCING Recently we’ve received a number of comments regarding Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing campaigns. When we write up a campaign, it’s because we think that it is a cool project and may be worth backing. For the most part, we have not seen, handled, or reviewed the product being crowdfunded. Sometimes we do get these items to preview, and these articles are clearly labelled as reviews. If it’s not labelled as such, then the article is no different than any other press releases or informative articles that we post. Unfortunately, the nature of crowdfunding means the product may not always come to fruition or may fall short of detailed expectations. We definitely appreciate comments about failed or undelivered campaigns in the spirit of letting others know, but we are in no way directly affiliated or connected with any of the campaigns we report on.
